OUR FOUNDERS
Originally from Chile in South America, Arturo grew up travelling and relocating from city to city every few years. This early exposure taught Arturo how to adapt quickly into new environments and situations, embracing new cultures and habits. Food became a natural interest at early ages where as early as 5 years old Arturo started cooking in his mother’s kitchen. After moving to Peru, Arturo became obsessed with the local culinary scene and fell in love with food, and his drive to become a Food and Beverage expert started at the early age of 7.
Europe
Fast forward into the years, after studying for 2 years Chemical Engineering, Arturo took a leap and signed up for culinary school at the Ecole Culinaire Francaise to then work in Chile, US and France in highly regarded kitchens to then further pursue his dreams and continue his Hospitality Management studies at the Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne in Switzerland where he graduated under a 100% Scholarship having had three part time jobs on the side.
Asia-Pacific
Continuing his career at the Shangri-La Hotel in Bangkok in the F&B department he quickly joined in Hong Kong the restaurant The Principal and led it into its first and second Michelin stars. With Le Comptoir Group, Arturo then helped introduce iconic venues to the city, mainly named Bibo, The Ocean, Tri, Hotshot, Cabana, Djapa, and Umi.
Vantage Hospitality Consultants
Wanting to expand and share his knowledge, passion and relentless energy, in 2016 Arturo founded Vantage Hospitality Consultants, and has been providing ever since incredible value to their clients across the world, specialising in project management, concept creation, design management and operations in Food and Beverage. After having opened over 60 hotels in Asia Pacific, accounting for over 250 catering, restaurant & bar concepts, Vantage Hospitality Consultants has set itself as a game changer in the hospitality sector in Asia.
With the signing of a new Managing Partner, Eelco Bohtlingk, in 2024 Vantage Hospitality Consultants turns into VHC Global, bringing with this rebranding new capabilities and potential to extend business to more clients at a global scale.
It is the absolute love that we invest into our work what makes us who we are. Balancing the art and science of hospitality is at the heart of what we do and the way we drive business forward for all of our partners and clients.

INTERN
Born in The Netherlands, Eelco spent the first two decades living, learning and working on home turf. What followed was a career with residencies in The United Kingdom, the U.A.E, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong SAR, The United States and Italy.
Asia-Pacific
Eelco is an experienced hotel developer and manager. He vividly recalls the pleasure of leading F&B teams in Abu Dhabi (Sheraton), Langkawi (Westin), Bali (Sheraton) and Bangkok (W Hotels). Having led operations and with a creative drive, it was a natural step to move into a corporate role for Marriott International's Asia-Pacific office as Senior Director of Design Development Operations. This role took responsibility for everything F&B during the development process. From concept to opening - and meant design coordinating over 80 projects with brands ranging from Courtyard to W Hotels.
At the same time, he oversaw the Asia Pacific Food & Beverage design strategy for several of Marriott's brands, including W Hotels, St. Regis, Courtyard, Aloft, Element and Moxy, most still in use today as divisional standard.
The Americas
After spending over 10 years in Asia-Pacific, curiosity got the better of him, and he moved to the United States to lead the F&B Development of Hilton Worldwide's Full Service, Lifestyle and luxury brands in The Americas. Besides the F&B Development of hotels and resorts spread out from Argentina to Alaska, his team was responsible for the inception of a new in-house creative agency, StiR Creative Collective and he oversaw the revitalization of the F&B Strategy for Waldorf-Astoria, Canopy, Hilton Hotels and DoubleTree.
After learning on opposite sides of the globe he felt it was the right time to join Arturo in growing VHC Global, and the ability to work with diverse clients, from small to large to create memorable F&B experiences, celebrating the pleasure of hospitality.
